How to Report Cruelty

The goal of the Troy Animal Shelter Coalition, Inc. / Pike Animal Shelter is to build and maintain a quality, accessible animal shelter that is a pillar in all animal welfare efforts and that adds value to the quality of life in our community.

The Troy Animal Shelter Coalition, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, administers the Pike Animal Shelter, the facility that will be built on the Henderson Hwy in the heart of Pike County, Ala.

While raising funds for the construction of a new facility, the organization sponsors adoptions in partnership with the City of Troy shelter facility, learning opportunities, and community activities that celebrate companion animals.

Madison

Tiny, Louise & Holly found homes at Bow Wow Pow Wow,
but Madison & friends are
still hoping for new families.

The June Bow Wow Pow Wow adoption event was a success for three homeless dogs, but their shelter mates are back at the current city facility, hoping for homes.

"There are some wonderful dogs at the shelter," said Founder's Society Chair Donna Schubert. "Several have been given up by their owners and have already been trained. They had a happy day in the park on Saturday and received baths, treats and lots of attention, which they loved. Now, though, they are back in the difficult situation of the current city shelter, and their futures are dim unless they find forever families. These dogs will return the love they receive ten-fold if they can just find new owners."

To adopt Madison or one of her friends, call 334-566-0500 and make an appointment with an animal control officer to visit the shelter.
