The Goal

The goal of the Pike Animal Shelter is to build and maintain a quality, accessible animal shelter that is a pillar in all animal welfare efforts and that adds value to the quality of life in our community.

The Pike Animal Shelter will be built on the Henderson Highway in the heart of Pike County.

The Troy Animal Shelter Coalition, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, administers the Pike Animal Shelter.

Why do each of us need to raise funds?

Because the animals need us, and we can only do this together. Raising funds for the Pike Animal Shelter allows you to use your gifts — whether they are in baking cakes or building doghouses, caring for animals or teaching a class —  to benefit animals in need in our community. Your investment can be modest, but your reward will be great.

Volunteer

Whether your talents are in caring for animals, baking cakes, planning a budget, holding a fundraiser, or (soon!) swinging a hammer, there is a volunteer opportunity for you.

Fundraising Kits
The greatest need now is fundraising to build the shelter. Families, clubs, neighbors, coworkers and individuals are needed to help raise funds. The fundraising kit provides ideas suitable for everyone. Your investment can be small, but the reward will be great! We can help you... just let us know.

Sponsorships
If own or work for a business, or if your personal or family's preferences lean toward making an annual contribution, sponsorships are for you. Check out the benefits of sponsorship.

Founder's Society Memberships
Consider a Founder's Society Membership. Only available until the shelter is built, Founders' names will appear permanently at the shelter. Founder's Society Memberships also make lasting, memorable, meaningful gifts for Christmas and birthdays.

Event Volunteers
Want to be on the list to help with Bark in the Park adoption events or the Pike Animal Shelter Fur Fest? Just send an email to admin@pikeanimals.org. If you have preferences about what you would like to do, let us know!

Gifts, Honoraria and Memorials
Want to honor someone or send a meaningful memorial contribution? We'll send the recipient you designate a lovely card explaining your gift to the shelter.
